Post Tryout Reaction

We wanted to write a quick note to thank everyone that came out to this weeks final open tryout for Team USA. Just when we thought we’d seen the height of talent at last years tryouts we’ve now seen it raised to the next level. We had players from all over join us and the competition for places is going to be fierce this year.

A preliminary squad of 22 will be invited to training camp with an eventual 12 places to be finalized by head coach Tom Hurdle that will head to Greece for the World Cup in October.

The aim of course is improve the squad year over year and with the players that participated this week we’re sure we’ll be capable of doing so. While the other countries involved will certainly step their levels up we’re excited to focus the next few months on building a solid team ready to compete and advance on last years finish in Lisbon.

The training camp squad will be announce this week with camp set to start in July for the players that make it.
