Player Announcement - Mohamed Salama

Team USA is excited to announce that defender Mohamed Salama will be joining the squad that will head to the Socca World Cup in Lisbon this fall.  

Mo, originally from Cairo, Egypt, grew up playing street soccer in Saudi Arabia. After moving to the states as a teenager, he played for the University of Nebraska and currently plays for UPSL side Sporting AZ FC, along with USA teammates Jon Guse, Andrew Weber, and David Paul.

On his expectations for the World Cup, Mo remarked, "I think the team that was selected to participate in this opportunity has what it takes to win it all. I'm really excited and looking forward to it."
